Start Strong: What Carries Between Loops

Rivage becomes much easier once you treat every reset as a chance to permanently save knowledge, rather than as lost progress. The key to finishing its puzzles is knowing which discoveries remain in K9 and which physical objects must be collected again.

You play as Miranda Vigneau, alone on the abandoned Ares Space Station. Doors consume limited daily energy, so each loop should have one clear objective: record an access credential, install an upgrade, learn a code method, or reach a new section.

Your K9 interface is the foundation of efficient progress. Scan evidence, save screenshots, replay recordings, and inspect logged information before spending energy retracing your route.

K9 information that persistsItems that usually reset
Scanned access-card dataBatteries and power cells
Passwords and computer cluesPhysical cards in your inventory
Screenshots, audio, and video logsKeys and puzzle components
Installed upgrades, including UV toolsUnfinished machine states
Recorded puzzle patternsDoor and system power states

A reliable loop routine is:

  • Open K9 and review the last clue you earned.
  • Set one concrete target before opening any energy-consuming doors.
  • Screenshot visual patterns instead of relying on memory.
  • Scan the reverse side of access cards when possible.
  • Reset at the Kitchen storage room arcade machine once the useful discovery is secured.

Early Access: Miranda, the Kitchen, and Level 2

Your first major objective is Miranda’s access card. In her bedroom, inspect the K9 leaflet, then use the password hint on her computer. The clue points to the nearby book, Stardust. Her emails contain the vault-reset information and a date needed for the safe.

Outside the room, open the container near the station map to learn the vault reset procedure. Return to the vault, enter /000/, then supply the birth date from Miranda’s messages. Scan the barcode on her recovered card to preserve Level 1 access through future loops.

The Kitchen introduces the first multi-step environmental puzzle. A holographic cube device reveals a ceiling pattern once its three sections are aligned. Copy that pattern into the Dock System panel, then switch station areas to gather and install batteries in the Emergency Pharmacy.

The three Pharmacy batteries are spread across the Kitchen’s changing Dock System layouts. One is near the equation board, another sits near the Robot Area computer, and the third is available in Cultivation. Insert all three before opening the Pharmacy and taking the Pod Bay card.

If the station loses power after this step, do not worry. The important part is scanning the card data. Use the Time Trickster arcade machine in the Kitchen storage room to begin a better-planned loop.

To earn Level 2 access, work through the Pod Bay and Miranda’s locker, then rebuild Amaan’s damaged identification card. The exact information on certain cards and terminals can differ between playthroughs, so follow the clue trail in your own game rather than entering a code copied from another save.

Upgrades, Multi-Pass, and Power Management

The Lobby provides Contactless Access, an upgrade that saves time and reduces unnecessary detours. Its terminal requires the first and last name of the Horizon Probe’s creator. Search the available records and station clues rather than guessing; once the terminal is unlocked, install the upgrade through K9.

Next, enter Amaan’s room to obtain the HyperViolet, or UV, flashlight upgrade. His computer password comes from his favorite energy drink. You can identify it through clues in his locker, safe, refrigerator-related evidence, or the cans found near an anomaly.

The UV upgrade reveals hidden writing on books and walls. Use it to trace the password pattern for the Pod Bay vending machine’s Inventory Management panel. Restock the machine, locate the requested product codes, and claim the Multi-Pass card.

Energy management matters especially around the Garage and Greenhouse routes. Opening some doors can leave too little power for the machinery beyond them. If the Greenhouse lights fail after entering, revisit your route: using the alternate entrance connected to the Garage can preserve enough power for the required systems.

The Garage is worth prioritizing after gaining Multi-Pass because it leads to an extra Power Cell. Complete its terminal tasks and passcode trail, then carry the cell into the next loop only when you are ready to use it. Physical items reset, but the knowledge needed to reclaim them does not.

Midgame Routes: Laboratory, Observatory, and Train

The Laboratory and Observatory form the central midgame chain. The Laboratory door costs significant energy, so arrive with enough power remaining and know your purpose before entering. Its password clue refers to Aion’s class, which must be found in station records.

Inside, search for Jonny Kim’s fingerprint. Pair it with the Power Cell at the Observatory to start the generator. You will then solve a relay puzzle to open the shutters and bring solar power to the central computer.

The Observatory computers provide the information required to recreate Jahi’s access credential. Use the discovered ID and barcode details with the access-card printer, using Amaan’s card as the print source when prompted. This unlocks Level 3 access.

The train card is found through Jahi’s Pod Bay locker. Once active, the train takes you to the upper Laboratory and upper Lobby, where the cube puzzle, Rafael’s card path, and later station systems become available.

Expect several clues to be randomized. Barcode values, dates, and certain solution details may not match a video or written guide. The stable solution is always the process: find the clue source, record the relationship, and enter the value generated in your current loop.

Late Puzzles and a Cleaner Finish

Late-game progress involves the upper areas, the cubic cube puzzle, Rafael’s keycard, constellation clues, USB work, train components, and the Fusion Reactor route. These challenges test whether you have built a useful K9 archive.

For cube-based puzzles, focus on matching lines, faces, or connected segments rather than trying to force a single orientation. Take a screenshot after every meaningful change. If a puzzle affects ceiling markings, lights, or distant machinery, look up and around before assuming the interface failed.

The Greenhouse chess-board puzzle requires locating the correct piece layout, while the SCOUT route uses a solar-system sequence. The Greenhouse can also create confusion if power has been spent on the wrong entrance. Reset and approach it with a full energy plan if its console cannot switch modes.

Before heading to the Fusion Core, make sure you have completed the weekly PC update interruption and collected the train-related components. These tasks frequently appear disconnected until their saved logs are compared in K9.

A useful late-game checklist is:

  • Review every saved screenshot for symbols, routes, and hidden ink.
  • Revisit computer emails after obtaining new credentials.
  • Check whether a puzzle needs current-loop equipment or only saved data.
  • Use the train only after collecting the access item that supports your next destination.
  • Reset early when a route no longer has enough energy to complete its goal.

FAQ

Are Rivage puzzle solutions randomized?

Some dates, barcodes, passwords, and related values can vary between playthroughs. Use walkthroughs to understand where the clue is found and how the system works, then enter the answer generated in your own game.

What should I save in K9 before resetting?

Scan access-card barcodes, capture visual patterns, and keep passwords, recordings, and upgrade instructions. These records persist, while physical inventory items generally need to be recovered in the next loop.

Why does the Greenhouse lose power?

You may have spent too much energy reaching it through an inefficient route. Try accessing the Garage through its alternate entrance so enough power remains for the Greenhouse lights and controls.

Where do I reset a loop?

Use the Time Trickster arcade machine in the Storage Room connected to the Kitchen after you have recorded the clue or access data you needed.

How should I use this rivage walkthrough puzzles guide?

Use it as a route planner, not a list of universal codes. Follow the clue locations, preserve discoveries in K9, and dedicate each loop to one lasting advancement.
